If you're looking to find a spiritual life coach, then you’re on the right page. My name is Mark Karlsson.
I’ve had many different experiences in terms of the work I have done, but by far the most rewarding and in line with my inner calling is the work I do now as a spiritual life coach and seminar leader.
My experience over the years has helped me personally develop myself in a way that now allows me to access more compassion, insight and wisdom when helping others on their own life journey.
There is no such thing as a life without challenges and as we all know through experience, it is the very nature of our challenges that call us forward to being a better human being. I do believe; however; that we can shortcut that process dramatically by utilising professional guidance which is why I am here offering my service as a spiritual life coach.
Find a spiritual life coach
Allow me to tell you a little about myself:
I was born in 1963 and brought up in the North East of England by very loving and caring parents. As with many teenagers, I rebelled and wanted to find my own way; whilst at the same time feeling tremendously insecure about who I was and what I really wanted in my life.
In 1989 I decided to leave for a six-month tour of Australia; not knowing at the time, that I would never actually return to live in England again – it’s been more than 20 years now.
My first ‘real’ job involved working on oil platforms as an instrument technician. Even though I was qualified, I knew from day one this was nowhere near my true calling or vocation. There was something else, I could feel it from within, a calling, an inner knowing, and yet I had no idea what. I had a deep yearning to find something I loved to do and be passionate about. I kept wondering and sometimes fretting if there was anything that I would have real skills in that would truly fulfil me.
As I said, I had no idea what that “something” was, but I knew I didn’t want to be on an oil-rig as an instrument technician for the rest of my life. It was that deep discomfort and disharmony that drove me to look for my passion and true purpose in life.
Through; what seemed at the time, like a random chain of events I stumbled onto a personal development seminar being held in Sydney, Australia. The seminar was called “Mind Powers,” and it was the first step toward finding my real purpose in life.
I wanted the transformation from the world of industrial instrumentation to personal growth to be easy and quick, but it was far from that and for a number of years I struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. I knew I needed help, and that need drove me to learn more about personal development, natural healing and the world of spirituality.
As my awareness grew and matured, I came to realize my problems were actually guiding me toward a new profession, that of a spiritual life coach, where I could spend my days helping people. It was a natural progression; I had found a deep passion to help others get past their challenges as I was doing. I also realized that by teaching others via the means of spiritual life coach, I was learning more about myself and so the cycle continued to evolve, the more I healed, the more I wanted to share that knowledge and the more I taught the more I healed and so it went on. Even though now I have evolved into the spiritual life coach, seminar leader and healer I am today, it still remains to be a never ending cycle of assisting others and learning more about myself and my own journey, and I love that.
Like I said, the transformation from working on oil platforms to being a spiritual life coach wasn’t easy. I’d often feel embarrassed after telling someone I was a healer or a tarot card reader and I’d sometimes try and change the way I said it to make it sound more of what I thought would be acceptable. Naturally, my lack of conviction and confidence didn’t exactly help my finances. I spent nearly six years living in Hong Kong, and while I was there I had to support myself in many different ways – I waited tables, sold water filters, skin products and protein powders to name a few.
Whilst living in Sydney I had gone for a tarot reading and the reader gave me a deck of tarot cards and promptly assured me that I would be a great reader one day myself. I remember finding this amusing simply because it was the farthest thing from my mind at the time. I loved the cards; however; and played with them often over the years as well as learning from books and attending classes and I would also give readings to my friends or people who were looking to improve their life at that time.
One of the ways I supported myself in Hong Kong was giving tarot card readings and over time many of my clients would come back to see me on a regular basis. This was a huge confidence boost for me because I still doubted myself, and the belief that I wasn’t good enough as a person was still very much a big part of my reality. But as time went on I realized that; not only was what I was doing being valued, but it was also really helping people. This was a major foundational step in getting me to the spiritual life coach I am today.
This new sense of confidence became the key to my own healing. What’s become patently obvious to me now; is that it's through our deep insecurities that we are called to find our greatness; it is one of the foundations I work from with all my clients. I now have tremendous gratitude for my early insecurities; for without them I would never have found my life path or become the spiritual life coach and teacher I am today.
My specialty is coaching and leading seminars in the areas of personal and spiritual development. I coach people in stress management, relationship conflict, loss of personal power, life direction, visualization and other manifestation techniques, expansion of consciousness as well as communication skills.
I’ve been working as a spiritual life coach, healer and seminar leader for more than 15 years now, and one of the things I’ve learned is what an important role laughter and humor play in our healing. I took myself way too seriously in the past and so I do my best to teach in a way that helps people see the lighter side of their life whilst still instilling deep new core values that will transform them permanently.
Everything in life is made of energy, love being the highest form of that energy. Transformation happens when we align ourselves with love in as many areas of life as possible. We find our greatness, our talents and passions; and our relationship with our self dramatically improves which consequently improves all our outer relationships. We become happier, more joyful, peaceful and generally balanced.
